Simon Houston – Irish Hairdresser of the Year 2024/25
As the current Irish Hairdresser of the Year, Simon has built a reputation for precision cutting, creative restyling, and expert advice on hair suitability for face shapes and texture. His passion for hairdressing spans 25 years, working with some of the most respected names and salons in the industry.
Simon’s journey began in his hometown of Ballymena before he honed his craft at Toni & Guy in Belfast and Dublin. In London, he trained at Vidal Sassoon’s and Soco Hair, refining his skills before taking his expertise to L.A. and Europe. Winning a place on the Clynol Prodigy Team in 2003 fuelled his passion for editorial and photographic work, leading him to style for FHM, Cosmopolitan, and major UK, US, Canadian, European, Russian, and Chinese publications.
A seasoned competitor, Simon has been an eight -time finalist in the British Hairdressing Awards, making his first final at just 25. He has also been a finalist in the L’Oréal Colour Trophy and Wella Trend Vision, winning nearly every major Irish hairdressing competition.
Now, as Irish Hairdresser of the Year 2024/25, Simon remains committed to his loyal client base, drawing inspiration from them to stay at the forefront of cutting, colouring, and styling innovation. His dedication to excellence ensures every client leaves his chair feeling confident, empowered, and effortlessly stylish.

SENIOR STYLIST / SALON MANAGER
Having worked alongside Simon for his entire career, starting as Simons assistant working her way up to Salon Manager. There is nothing Lisa doesn’t know about the business. Her loyalty to the Simon Houston brand and work ethic is unprecedented and it is no surprise that her love for people has gained her a strong clientele. Her customer service, knowledge of the industry and rapport with the team and clients is irreplaceable and we are so thankful she is a key member of the Houston Hair team.
TORI
MASTER STYLIST
Tori is a highly skilled Master Stylist. Personally trained by Simon, she is confident across all aspects of hairdressing and is known for her exceptional attention to detail and technical expertise. Committed to continuous growth, Tori consistently pushes herself to refine her craft and exceed expectations. She has played an integral role assisting Simon with his British Hairdressing Awards entries, where he was selected as a finalist, and has showcased her talent on stage at the Davines UK Tour 2023. Tori has also secured a place on the prestigious Sassoon Project 2026. As part of the programme, she will spend several days each month in London at the House of Sassoon, where she will be mentored and developed by some of the world’s leading hairdressers.
ANN-MARIE
MASTOR STYLIST
Ann-Marie has a wealth of experience in all aspects of hairdressing. She really is an all rounder. There is nothing this girl doesn’t excel in! Ann-Marie is confident and loves to colour and style her clients from start to finish, as well as delivering excellent customer service. She enjoys styling textured hair types, creating movement and volume. She is a very competent barber and an important member of our Bridal and Up Styling team. She has a great relationship with all her clients and they gravitate towards her infectious personality and her outstanding salon work.
SHANNON
MASTER STYLIST
Shannon is a bubbly and friendly stylist who just loves her job! Whether she is creating transformations, up-styles, wedding hair or cutting gents, her passion shines through! With 10 years of experience as a qualified stylist under her belt Shannon has a lot to offer her clients in the salon. Shannon has became a new mum but it hasn’t stopped her progressing her skills and always wanting to up her game! Shannon is a great asset to the Houston Hair team and is very confident in all aspects of Hairdressing.
CHLOE
SENIOR STYLIST
Chloe’s journey with Houston Hair began at just 13 years old as our dedicated Saturday girl. Training in London at the prestigious Vidal Sassoon Academy where she achieved her NVQ Level 3 qualifications. During her time in the capital, Chloe gained invaluable experience assisting backstage at London Fashion Week and working on a high-profile photoshoot with Mel C of the Spice Girls. Her talent has been recognised nationally — winning Newcomer of the Year at the British Hairdressing Awards 2025 and being a finalist for Up and Coming Stylist at the Tribute Awards. She is also a key member of Project Colour 2026. As part of Project Colour, Chloe will travel to London several times a month, where she is mentored by some of the industry’s leading colourists.
SOFIA ROSE
STYLIST
From Simon’s dedicated assistant to fully qualified stylist, Sofia has quickly risen within the Houston Hair team, establishing herself as a talented colourist and precision cutter with a signature style. Training at the prestigious Vidal Sassoon Academy in London refined her technical skills, laying the foundation for an exciting career. Passionate about cutting and creating tailored styles, she ensures every client leaves with a look that enhances their individuality. A perfectionist at heart, Sofia is already building a loyal clientele who appreciate her attention to detail and fresh approach. She is one to watch as she makes her mark in hairdressing.
LEANNE (Chloe Watt)

Introducing our second Chloe, known by her middle name for easy client identification. Meet Leanne, a quietly confident individual with a genuine passion for hairdressing. Currently in her first year at the Houston Hair Academy, Leanne is already demonstrating remarkable potential on her journey toward becoming a first-class stylist. Watch as she evolves and excels in her career!
